Beach Bag Essentials

Who doesn't just love lazy days at the beach or at the poolside? Because summer is already here, it's high time to make sure that we have everything we need in our beach bags. Protect
yourself, have fun and stay stylish with these beach bag must haves.

There's no time like the present to start preparing your beach bag. From shopping for that perfect flattering bathing suit that will show off your curves to stocking on a sunscreen formula that will not clog your pores and that will help you fight premature aging, this activity is one of the most exciting ones for many women as they are a necessary yet very pleasant part of preparing for the perfect vacation.

Although preparing your beach bag might seem simple and basic, without carefully planning in advance you might forget to bring several small yet important things that could have served you well. To ensure that you have everything you need to stay safe and fashionable we've compiled a quick list you can refer to to ensure you don't forget anything. Here are some beach bag essentials, including the bag, of course:

Sunscreen

While this is downright obvious, there are a few things that you should keep in mind when choosing it. First if you are prone to acne, choosing an oil free sunscreen is a must. Then, if you have sensitive skin choosing a separate sunscreen for your face and another one for your body is advisable. Always make sure that you are protected against both UVA and UVB and reapply frequently to be able to get maximum protection.

Sunglasses, hair spray and lip balm

Again, adequate protection cannot be stressed enough. When choosing sunglasses make sure that they are labeled as "UV 400," as these offer adequate protection against UV rays. Also because your lips don't have melatonin to protect them, sun damage is likely to occur. Prevent this from happening by choosing an ultra moisturizing lip balm with SPF. Your tresses will also need a little TLC in order to look fabulous all they long so make sure to condition them properly and to bring with you and to apply an UV protectant hair spray.

Bikini, flip-flops, cover up, accessories and Ziploc bags

A cute cover-up will definitely come in handy. Tunics, mini dresses or even a long sleeved men shirt are all fabulous alternatives. A sarong can also come in handy if you would rather play up your upper body part. In addition, fashion and hair accessories can also be used to make your looks more complex. To ensure these don't get scattered throughout your bag or to store your wet bathing suit, Ziploc bags are perfect.

Minimal makeup

If you can't bear the thought of staying bare faced, even at the beach, then bringing a tinted moisturizer, a lip balm and maybe a water-resistant mascara is definitely a good choice. Also if you plan on being active and you feel that you might break a nail then including an emery board might not be a bad idea either. Include bloating papers to make sure your makeup stays flawless.

Magazine/novel, headphones and snacks

Your favorite tunes and a light reading material will help you stay entertained all day long, while a few snack option will help curb your hunger while keeping the cost low. When it comes to snacking staying away from chocolate is advisable as it tends to melt very quickly and can be a little messy. Water and homemade unsweetened tea are good choices to quench your thirst.
